Overview
Coze is ByteDance's agent development platform. A visual editor assembles agents with knowledge bases, plugins, workflows, and memory, covering the whole path from prototype to publishing without code. Distribution is its standout strength: agents publish directly to Doubao, Feishu (Lark), WeChat customer service, and other ByteDance and Tencent surfaces, reaching large end-user audiences by default. It fits individual developers, operators, and teams that want agents in front of many users fast. Compared with Dify, Coze is easier to start and much stronger on distribution, but weaker on control and self-hosting. The domestic version (coze.cn) stores data in mainland China; the international version (coze.com) runs separately with data stored abroad. The open-source Coze Studio targets self-hosting and is reviewed as a separate entry on this site.
